Climate:
November/December is Australian Spring and Summer time. Temperatures will vary between 26 – 30 degrees on the East Coast to over 40 degrees in the Red Centre. Whatever the weather, sun cream and a hat are always strongly recommended in Australia.

Clothing:
Australia is typically an informal
place so bring plenty of comfortable,
casual clothes. Most bars and restaurants
do have a dress code but, again, this
is commonly just smart casual. With
plenty of outdoor activities available,
swimming gear, hiking shoes, rainwear,
and sunglasses are recommended, as
is plenty of sunscreen. |

Currency
& Exchange rate:
The currency is the Australian Dollar,1 Dollar = 100 Cents.
Approximate exchange rate £1 = AUD$2.2
Most major international credit cards such as American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa and their affiliates are widely accepted. ATMS are widely available and Travellers Cheques can be changed at local banks and some hotels. |

240 Volts AC50Hz. Plugs are flat 3-pin. A travel adaptor will be required. |

Australia is divided into three time zones:
Eastern Standard Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne GMT + 10
Central Standard Adelaide GMT + 9.5
Western Standard Perth GMT + 8

Passport/Visa Information:
The name on your passport must match your name on the ticket, otherwise you may not be able to travel and your insurance may be invalid. It is your responsibility to ensure the correct details are advised to us at the time of booking.
A standard ten-year British passport is required which must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned date of return travel.
All visitors require a visa for travel to Australia. Sporting Highlights include visas for British Citizens in our tour packages.

Tax:
Goods and Services Tax (GST) is charged on most items. Foreign tourists to Australia can have their 10% GST refunded provided that the value of the items purchased exceeds $300. GST is refunded at the point of departure at a Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) counter provided receipts are produced.

Privacy & Data:
We want all our clients to enjoy completely successful holidays. However, any client with a medical condition or disability or dietary/religious requirements must be aware that information supplied to us will be passed to other companies and persons who supply the various parts of our travel arrangements. The suppliers may, depending upon your choice of holiday, be based outside the European Economic Area where controls on data protection may not be as stringent as in our country. We will not, however pass this information to any party that is not responsible for your travel arrangements.

Clients with Disabilities:
Please let us know at the time of booking if you or anyone in your party suffers from a serious medical condition or physical disability before a booking is made, as we cannot provide individual assistance with boarding coaches or forms of transport, baggage handling, walking or other personal requirements etc. Clients should be confident that they can do the tasks unaided. We are happy to give advice and assistance which will be dependent on the nature of the disability and whether the person with the disability is accompanied by an able bodied person. Some suppliers may request certification from your GP to confirm that you are fit to travel and we regret that we cannot be held liable for any costs you may incur as a result. Measurements of wheelchairs must be given at the time of booking.
