| Cleethorpes BC from Lincolnshire win 2009 Sporting Highlights National Mixed Fours |
 |
Lincolnshire's Bernard Gowshall, Tracy Dent, Christine Gowshall and Jonathan Darley won the Sporting Highlights National Mixed Fours Competition at the National Championships, Worthing. The Cleethorpes BC four beat Val Howley, Norah Holder, Darren Holder and Andy Knapper from Wargrave BC, Berkshire in the final 24-14.
Steve Watson MD of Sporting Highlights said “It was a great game of bowls to watch on a sunny day at Worthing. I really enjoyed the contrast of the more traditional style of play of the mixed fours and the vibrancy of the U25s Two Fours competition”. |
